The Lindfield Gas Laboratories include a high-resolution instrumentation laboratory with close environmental tolerances and is equipped with specialist gases, connected to a shared open plan chemistry and microbiology support space – built to be PC2 capable with exposed services. These laboratories demand a complex network of reticulated gas lines with segregation of flammable, toxic and inert gases. This facility also features gas cabinets previously not available in Australia.

The colour scheme for the laboratories references the soft greens and browns in the bushland setting of the Lindfield site. The use of colour is concentrated on circulation spaces and under-bench joinery, maintaining white bench surfaces for laboratory work.
