AGRONOMY AND ENTOMOLOGY LABORATORIES

CSIRO, Narrabri

Completed
2021

The Agronomy and Entomology Laboratories aims to cater for general laboratory research as well as research into moths and their crop resistances. The facility features an integrated approach to differing entomology and agronomy study areas, integrating these into a single open plan laboratory with special use rooms on either side. By combining the two labs into one, greater flexibility is possible allowing agronomy or entomology research to grow and shrink over time without leaving parts of the lab redundant and unusable to other users.

MORE

Built to PC2 OGTR standards and PC2 OGTR Invertebrates Facilities, the new facility maintains the more integrated aspects of research central to the site. L2D worked with CSIRO to introduce new technologies, including a new approach to control moth dander, using our experience with bioresources cage handling downdraft devices.
